The Silk Street Hot Seven were formed in 2003 as a new generation of the early jazz band. The ensemble consists of today’s young up-and-coming players all of whom continue to revitalise the jazz scene with their flair, excitement and enthusiasm. The band’s ability to acknowledge and reflect on the past while creating a contemporary sound is one of the reasons for its pre-eminence on the jazz circuit today. Silk Street Hot Seven have played at several prestigious UK venues including Buckingham Palace, St James’ Palace, Hampton Court, Tower of London, Inner Temple, Kew Gardens and Mansion House. The band recently recorded their début album Big Feet featuring special guests.
