The celebrated recitalist, Steven Osborne, has a career that spans the world from the Far East to the USA, with appearances at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall New York, Wigmore Hall, Edinburgh Festival and the Proms. Renowned for his tremendous musical intelligence and versatility, this exciting young British pianist embraces a wide range of style and repertoire, from the mainstream works of Beethoven, Mozart and Brahms to the rarefied worlds of Messiaen, Tippett and Alkan. In the UK he collaborates regularly with the major orchestras and his concerts are frequently broadcast by the BBC. In addition to being nominated for a prestigious Gramophone Award, his regular recordings for Hyperion often feature as Editor’s Choice in Gramophone Magazine.
