The distinguished harpist David Watkins is a former member of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Royal Philharmonic and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He has appeared as soloist under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle at the London Proms and has worked with many of the world’s outstanding conductors including Gergiev, Boult, Solti and Tennstedt. Formerly a Professor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, he is also active as a composer with many of his compositions having been met with critical acclaim.
A lovely performance, generous in tone and feeling and with a solo harp contribution from David Watkins of real sensitivity
